This fight has only 1 phase.
The room gets filled with gas, dealing high AoE damage to all players.
Festergut inhales the gas in the room every 30s. It reduces the gas damage but increases his melee damage and attack speed.
30 seconds after the third inhalation, Festergut explodes dealing raid wiping damage.
All players have to collect spores to reduce Blight damage to survive Festergut's explosion.
Professor Putricide throws Malleable Goo on random players during the fight.
When Festergut uses Inhale Blight, it now increases his damage and attack speed by 30% instead of 25%.
You should assign landmarks, like a shaman's totem or marked players, for spore management. Missing some is deadly!
Range have to stay spread to avoid collateral stun and damage.
The more gas there is in the room, the more damage your players take.
The less gas there is, the more damage your tanks take.
RANGE
STAY SPREAD
EVERYONE
SOAK THE SPORES
Infects 2 players (3 in 25 man) with a spore. After 12s, the spore explodes dealing damage to nearby players.
The explosion leaves a debuff on players who got hit, increasing their resistance to Blight.
All players have to soak the spores to prevent getting one shot by Pungent Blight.
Make sure to assign positions of where to go when targeted by Gas Spore.
In 25 man raid the common strategy is to have 1 spore in melee and 2 groups in range, apart from each other.
EVERYONE
MAKE SURE TO HAVE
SOAKED THE SPORES
After 3 Gaseous Blight inhalations, the next one becomes Pungent Blight, dealing heavy shadow damage to all players.
It restores Gaseous Blight to it's initial state. That means it deals higher damage to all players again.
If some players haven't soaked the gas spores, they will die from Pungent Blight's damage.
EVERYONE
WATCH OUT FOR THE
BOUNCING PROJECTILE
In Heroic, Professor Putricide helps Festergut during the fight. He sends Malleable Goo at random players in the room from his balcony.
It deals damage in 5 yards and also reduces attack and cast speed by 250% for 20s. Don't get hit!
Melee players should stack them all under a foot of the boss. When the Malleable Goo is launched at them, all melees swap to the other foot.
Ranged players should spread to reduce the risk of multiple people being hit.
The room is filled with gas. Every 2s it deals damage to the entire raid group.
Damage decreases when Festergut inhales the blight.
Festergut deals damage to his target and applies a stacking debuff. The debuff increases the damage dealt of the affected player by 10%.
When it reaches 10 stacks it will explode and deal massive AoE damage to all the players.
Swap aggro before reaching 10 stacks!
The boss inhales partial Gaseous Blight in the room, decreasing the permanent damage on the raid but increasing his own damage and attack speed by 25%.
It takes 3 inhales to remove the gas completely. At this point, your raid won't take the permanent damage anymore, but your tanks will be hit very hard and fast!
